We can blame Cinderella, movies or hormones, but in real life a girl goes through so many stages thinking she’s falling in love. Below I present a quick guide to know when it’s everything but love!
10) Crush
Someone says their name and you can’t breathe. They walk by and you can’t complete your sentences. You’re sure you are in love and according to ‘FLAME’, you are destined to be married. Then one day you actually sit with them and have a chat. And it’s gone. This my friends, was just a crush.
9) Fantasy
They say if a crush lasts longer than three months, it’s love. I say someone didn’t give me that memo because I’ve been loving Eminem for ten years. He can’t even spell ‘Tos’. So therefore, if your crush lasts longer than three months but thou hast never actually met the subject, that’s fantasy.
8) Infatuation
This is right in between a crush and an obsession. It’s almost sweet and practically harmless. It’s not love though, just infatuation.
7) Obsession
Then there’s obsession. What’s he wearing Where’s he going Who with? Why not me? Be warned, at this point, you’re close to crossing legal lines.
6) Lust
O wow you love him… His chest, the way he smiles, how he looks when he runs, the way his suit is cut. If you can’t find anything other than the physical to focus on, that’s lust.
5) Like
You love him. You think. I mean, he’s great to hang out with, you tell him everything, he’s heard you burp, he saw you cry. Giiiiiirl, you just like the dude. You’re close to…
4) (the) Friend zone
You study together, tell him about all the boys that broke your heart. He sends you roses, you cringe a little and ask him whether the centre part suits you better than the side part. He helps you zip into that really snug dress and drives you to your friend’s wedding where you proceed to ogle the other guy at the table. That’s the friend zone! (And you should put him out of his misery please).
3) Friendship
Similar to the friend zone but different is good ol’ friendship. This is the person you’ve probably made a pact with- ‘If we’re both still single at 35, let’s get married’. You know he’s cute, he knows you’re hot, you may have in the past but you’re past that now and it’s comfy but not awkward. That’s friendship.
2) Crime
You ‘love’ him / her but they are not legal yet. Now that’s a crime. Move it along

And there is love. The feeling you feel when you feel a feeling you feel you’ve never felt before. With these few words of mine, I hope I have been able to convince and also confuse you that most times, it is anything but love!
