Holland are a team reborn since their dismal Euro 2012 campaign and are well on course for Brazil next summer after winning their first six qualifiers.
New coach Louis van Gaal has overseen the resurgence and the veteran tactician refuses to shirk from tough decisions, most recently dropping skipper Wesley Sneijder for this week's friendly in Portugal.
Consequently, Van Persie will take the armband as Holland, seven points clear in Group D, warm up for a trip to Estonia next month that could all but clinch their World Cup spot.
Van Gaal claimed Galatasaray midfielder Sneijder needed to improve his physical condition before being considered again.
He told reporters: "He is not out of sight, but he must first get in shape. Then he will probably play with his qualities."
Van Persie begins the new season just five goals behind Patrick Kluivert's national goalscoring record of 40.
Holland, who have not lost for a year, also boast the likes of Rafael van der Vaart and Arjen Robben in their squad to travel to Faro.

Top 6 Foods For Healthy Eyes

Staying healthy obviously involves keeping a healthy diet and an active lifestyle. This usually refers to a healthy heart, strong bones and a healthy, slim body.
But keeping healthy also implies taking care of vision, our most important asset. After all, seeing well into the future requires healthy eyes and, most certainly, after reaching an old age, many people develop vision problems.
Issues such as cataracts, dry eyes or other ocular disease may be prevented by following simple eating guidelines and basically “keeping an eye” on healthy foods. Here is a rundown of some of the best foods for healthy eyes and better vision:
1. Carrots
Top 6 Foods For Healthy Eyes

The number one obviously goes to carrots. These orange colored vegetables are packed with beta carotene (carotene actually comes from carrots, hence the name) and antioxidants to help fight degenerative eye diseases such as cataracts and macular diseases.
Carrots are easy to add to any dish or salad, but if you don’t like them whole or solid, carrot juice is a great option. After all, most food supplements or child drinks have carrot juice as a main ingredient. Carrots can be a fine ingredient for soups, stews or any other sauce, be it hummus, spice sauces or sweet pastes. You can even dip them in salsa, hummus, peanut butter, or guacamole for added flavor and texture.
2. Bell peppers
Top 6 Foods For Healthy EyesBell peppers are excellent sources of vitamin C, a crucial element for keeping a healthy vision. Also, they are high in antioxidants and other vitamins that will protect your eyes.
They can be eaten fresh in salads, sauces, and sandwiches or cooked in stews or even an addition for meat plateaus or steaks. Bell peppers can also add color and texture to a dish, as well as that added healthy element. Steamed, roasted, in soups, or in your favorite pasta dressing, bell peppers are the ideal ingredient for having great eyesight.
3. Poultry meats – turkey, chicken or ostrich
Top 6 Foods For Healthy EyesPoultry is the lean and healthy substitute for the red, fatty meats you usually come across in dishes, including beef, pork or lamb. Even though ostrich meat may be hard to find in stores, it is packed with zinc, potassium, proteins and iron which are key elements for having excellent eyesight.
Zinc is a crucial mineral found in the retina and it causes enzyme production which is related to having healthy eyes. Also, iron helps fight ocular degeneration, keeping eyes healthy even during old age.
Turkey and chicken also have high amounts of zinc, but as a plus, are also rich in a variety of vitamins such as Vitamin B, niacin and vitamin E. These are essential in fighting cataracts and other debilitating eye diseases.
These types of meats are incredibly versatile, being a staple ingredient for many dishes. You can eat them in chili, steaks, soups, stews or even low fat salads.
4. Spinach
Spinach is literally packed with almost every vitamin out there, but the key components are vitamin C, lutein, zeaxanthin and beta carotene. Also, spinach has a high concentration of antioxidants that will help fight macula degeneration.
Zeaxanthin and lutein increase the pigment density in the macula area, which acts as a natural sunscreen for the eyes, absorbing 40 to 90 percent of the dangerous blue light spectrum rays. Spinach can be eaten stewed, boiled, in salads or as a sauce for pasta.
5. Sweet potatoes
Here comes another high beta carotene food for great vision. The bright orange colored flesh of these vegetables is packed with this important element. They can be baked, fried and mashed just as regular potatoes. The sweet, soft taste will leave you breathless. Sweet potatoes really are a sweet ingredient when trying to keep healthy.
6. Fish – salmon and sardines

Fish, in general, has high amounts of healthy omega 3 fats, essential for any healthy lifestyle. But salmon and sardines are even better, having a higher amount of omega 3 fats, which will ensure a healthy vision. Omega 3 fats work by protecting the tiny blood vessels that surrounds and are buried in the eyeball. Try to eat at least 6 ounces of wild salmon or sardines every day and you will surely see the difference.

CBN, stakeholders meet on cashless policy

Central Bank of Nigeria met with banks and Bureau de change operators on the urge to sentisitise their customers on the cashless policy.
Deputy Governor in CBN, Mr. Tunde Lemo, revealed to the audience that it was time the nation updated it payment system to enhance global competitiveness.
Lemo said the effectiveness of the policy would depend largely on the collaboration of all stakeholders and the government. “Some of the benefits include safety of cash from robbers, electoral malpractice and the promotion of financial inclusion.
“Others are the reduction in cost of credit, transparency and it curbs corruption and leakages,” the CBN chief said at the forum. Lemo was represented by Babatunde Ajiboye, a Deputy Manager in the bank.
Earlier, Mazi Azubuike Okoro, the Branch Controller of CBN in Awka, said that Anambra was strategic because of her high commercial activities. Okoro said the policy was also a good option for the people in view of the high volume of cash transactions in the state.

Peter Odemwingie's Al Nasr Move Is off

West Brom striker Peter Odemwingie's proposed move to Al Nasr is off,
photo West Brom striker Peter Odemwingie's proposed move to Al Nasr is off, Sky sources understand.
The Dubai side have pulled out of the deal because they have become increasingly frustrated with the Premier League club's reluctance to meet with them, despite submitting two bids for the striker.
The latest deal on the table was one that could have risen to over £1.5m but Al Nasr have now ended their interest in the Nigeria international.
That leaves Odemwingie in limbo, after his public flirtation with QPR on the final day of the January transfer window failed to secure a move to Loftus Road.
He is still training with the reserves and has been told he doesn't figure in manager Steve Clarke's plans.
The signings of Nicolas Anelka and Matej Vydra have pushed him even further down the pecking order at The Hawthorns and he looks likely to start the new season on the margins.

"My Encounter With Angel Michael"

It is all quiet in heaven one Sunday evening.
CHRIS: (Saunters into heaven) Hello, who dey house? Chrisbobo is in the building!
ANGEL MICHAEL: (Emerging from his abode) Yes, what do you want?
CHRIS: (At his sarcastic best) See question! What else does one come to do in heaven? I want to see God.
AM: (Fuming but restraining himself) He is not around.
CHRIS: What do you mean He is not around? How can God be missing from heaven? Is He on ward round in hell?
AM: (getting close to boiling point) Why are you interrogating me now? I said He is not around or am I hiding Him in my trousers?!
CHRIS: What’s with the attitude?  I only asked a simple question, no need for getting all worked up. Chill man, that attitude is not turned up.
AM: (genuinely curious) Which one is ‘turned up’?
CHRIS: Something cool kids say in Nigeria. Don’t worry, you can’t understand. So, where did you say God went?
AM: (restraining himself from boiling over) He doesn’t inform me of His whereabouts. He comes and goes as He wishes. You can give me the message you have for Him because I would like to return to what I was doing before you came.
CHRIS: (arrogantly) Nah, I don’t do in-betweens; I deal with the Oga At The Top directly.
AM: (struggling to keep calm) Okay then, come and start going.
CHRIS: What’s that supposed to mean? Like seriously, you want to send me away from heaven? Like it’s anybody’s father’s house, abi?

"I Was Dethroned Because I Refused To Have Sex With The Director" - Miss United Nations Nigeria 2013 Reveals All (PHOTO)

Miss United Nations Nigeria 2013 granted an exclusive interview where she revealed it all.

Why were you dethroned?

It all started when I got the Franchise for participation at the Miss United Nations Pageant on the 17th to 18th of April 2013.

Because I was getting late for everything, they immediately forwarded my invitation letter and other documents to facilitate my VISA application. In addition, they assigned to me an African Director whose job was to make sure I secure a Tourist Visa to Mexico were the finals would take place. I had all his details sent to me and I contacted him and we started working.

First he sent me Embassy requirements which I met but one thing never went well with me. And that was the Exaggeration of the visa fee from 30pounds to 700USD for each person and for 3 people, that would be #280,000 in Nigerian Currency, and I was to travel with my chaperone and personal director.

I paid him the sum of #70,000 for a start before he went ahead with the procession of visa.
Some days after we were invited for Biometrics and on getting there we also made another payment of 30,000. We got the Visa and promised to pay up when we return to Yenagoa.

When we got home, Mr Richard who was my personal director suggested I should do a Coronation Party for Recognition and attention and it came to pass with guests as Mr Zelly Mighty the African Director, Mr Jahn Basil the National Director, Sharon Mmezie Miss Unity Nigeria, Lynda Onwuka’ Queen Culture, Chisom Ubadike’ Miss Agulu, Amaka’ Runway Queen and so many others on the 19th of May.

The next day, 20th, I took them on a Courtesy visit to my State Govt’ Chief of staff and were received with warm hands. They were also given an Appreciation of 100,000.

Along the line, something camp up. I had a little problem and my personal director secretly suggested that I should be replaced by one Emilia Miebi. It came to my knowledge and I had him removed as my director.

A few weeks after, Mr Zelly invited us to Concord hotels for the Official unveiling of Delegates to Miss United Nations. I attended the event with my Manager/Chaperone, Miss Jessica. We were allocated to our rooms. While we were around, they called us for a meeting to discuss with us, I never knew they had it all planned. I was with Mr Zelly and he was beginning to irritate me with all Sex talks and proposals. Telling me, he can make me win if I go to bed with him. The next minute, I heard Jessica shouting out of annoyance and raining insults on Mr Jahn Basil for having locked up the room and attempted rape with force. We would have recorded the discussion but never knew the utilities of the phone we were using at that time. Though we had chats via sms on our phones. We also felt we would report to the UN pageant authorities by the time we arrive in Mexico.

We returned to our homes and went about flight bookings. But then, we got a message again from them saying they have been able to talk to some airlines in our favour and that they have reached a subsidised agreement of #420,000 instead of #456,050 flight ticket fee since we were travelling in numbers.
