Alimi, 45, was, yesterday, arraigned before an Ibadan Chief
Magistrates’ Court sitting at Iyaganku for allegedly stealing 82
pigs.
Inspector Ade Adebusuyi, the prosecutor, told the court that Alimi stole 82 pigs valued at N1 million, property of one Babatunde Oduwole.
Adebusuyi alleged that Alimi also stole 15 turkeys, 42 fowls, one Toyota Avensis saloon car valued at N800,000 and a cash sum of N2.2 million, all property of Oduwole.
The offence was said to have been committed between August 2013 and December 19, 2013 at Alabata area of Moniya, Ibadan.
The accused person, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Olusola Adetujoye, granted the accused bail in the sum of N250, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case till Jan.14, 2014.
