Report Of Vehicles’ Plunge Into Lagoon Near Third Mainland Bridge Turned False – NEMA

The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, which earlier confirmed two vehicles plunge into the Lagos Lagoon has said that its findings turned out the incident did not happen.
It said the distress call on a commercial bus and a car plunging into the lagoon was a hoax. After confirming the incident earlier, the agency said that it mobilized its officers, got to the scene of the alleged incident only to discover that it was untrue.
“The police on the 3rd Mainland bridge told us that a yellow commercial bus offloaded its passengers and in its effort of trying to take off hit a private car with dent on d car,” said Ibrahim Farinloye, the agency’s South-West Spokesperson.
“The two parties have since left to their respective destinations after (the police) settling the matter for them,” he added.
