The all-girl contingent was part of a pageant staged to strike fear into the rogue state’s enemies and rally the country’s population behind young ruler Kim Jong-un.
Columns of tanks, missiles and synchronised waves of soldiers paraded through Pyongyang’s main square to mark the 60th anniversary of the armistice that ended the 1950-1953 Korean War.
As fighter jets screamed overhead, Kim Jong-un saluted his troops from a stand, flanked by his senior military officials.
