ARSENAL'S chances of signing Real Madrid ace Gonzalo Higuain are hanging by a thread.
They have since lodged a £30m bid for Luis Suarez, while boss Arsene Wenger has also shown an interest in signing Wayne Rooney.
Higuain had expressed his desire to leave Madrid at the end of last season but now he could be set to perform a U-turn and stay at the Bernabeu.“Arsenal had stalled over paying £22m for the prolific striker”
The 26-year-old has started pre-season training with Real and has been told by new boss Carlo Ancelotti that he will have a clean slate under him.
Napoli have just sold Edinson Cavani to Paris St-Germain for £54m, money which could be used to swoop for Higuain.
