SECRET agents have foiled an al-Qaida plot to smuggle chemical weapons from Iraq into Europe and North America.
Iraqi defence ministry spokesman Mohammed
al-Askari said they had uncovered three workshops in the country that
were being used to make killer sarin and mustard gases.
Remote-controlled toy planes were also seized at the workshops.
Five men were arrested and have all confessed to the plot.
The arrests were possible because of co-operation between Iraqi and foreign intelligence services, Mr Askari said.
