SAM BYRAM WILL SNUB MANCHESTER CITY AND ARSENAL TO STAY AT LEEDS

SAM BYRAM will give Manchester City and Arsenal
the cold shoulder and stay at Leeds United next season, boss Brian
McDermott insists.
The 19-year-old ace has become one of the Championship\s most sought-after players with a string of fine showings at right-back.
His performances have earned him a call-up to the England U20s squad and some of the Premier League's big boys are having him watched.
But Byram, who is under contract until 2016, is going nowhere.
"Sam wants to be here next season and the club want him to be here next season," McDermott told the Yorkshire Evening Post.
"If someone does try to push him in a different direction then it won't be the player or the club who are doing the pushing. I'm not concerned about it.
"For me his development as a player will be so much better and quicker through regular football. The games he's had at Leeds have done him the power of good.
"You can see that he's loving it and I feel very strongly that he's in the right place. I know he thinks so, too. Why would he want to go anywhere else?"
But sceptical bookmakers are not so sure.
They make Byram an 8-11 chance to join City. Arsenal are the second favourites for his signature at 9-1.
