Arsene Wenger is in the marker for another keeper to provide competition to Wojciech Szczesny, 23, and Lukasz Fabianski, 28.
And QPR chief executive Philip Beard told West London Sport their was still nothing concrete worked out between the Championship side and the Italian giants.
He said: "There’s nothing firm. He is Brazil's No.1 goalkeeper, so I'm sure he'll interest a lot of clubs as the season starts to get closer.
"We'll look at what deals are on offer and if they're right for us and the player. Having Brazil's No.1 keeper in the Championship would be an interesting dynamic. We might see something happen."

Josias Cardoso told calciomercato.it:"It's not all done yet - there are many possibilities but there are some details to be resolved between the player and Napoli.
"There has been some interest from Spain, but nothing concrete. The only two concrete tracks are Arsenal and Napoli."
