9 children roasted to death after Boko Haram attack on Cameroonian village


Boko Haram members yesterday July 19th attacked the border village of Kamuna in Cameroon, roasting a total of nine children to death in the ensuing inferno. Many houses and properties were also destroyed by the sect members.

New study claims self employed people are more prone to suicide than salary earners

According to a new study carried out by The Times of India, self employed people and people who work in private establishments are more likely to commit suicide than salary earners in government establishments. Read the report below
Self-employed people are more prone to committing suicide as compared to those engaged in service. In service too, private sector employees are more likely to commit suicide than those working with the government. National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data for 2014 shows that self-employed people (including agriculture and business) accounted for 19.7% of all suicides, making them the biggest single group among suicide victims.

26 confirmed dead and over 50 injured after explosion in Turkish town (graphic photos)

26 have been confirmed dead and over 50 people injured after a huge explosion in the Turkish town of Suruc near the Syrian border this morning. Just about an hour ago. The explosion targeted Kurdish youths and western volunteers in a Kurdish cultural centre. We will make Boko Haram beg for peace - Chief of Army Staff says

The Chief of Army staff, Maj. Gen Tukur Buratai says Boko Haram will either beg for peace or face the full wrath of Nigerian soldiers. He said this will addressing Nigerian troops stationed in Borno state yesterday July 19th. According to Maj Buratai, the operational name of the troops in Borno state will now be changed from “Operation Zaman Lafiya” to 'Operation Zaman Lafiya Dole' which in Hausa language means ‘the quest for peace becomes a must’.
