Messi Is Still Barcelona's Top Dog, Alves Tells Neymar

Dani Alves has warned Neymar that Lionel Messi remains Barcelona's undisputed star despite the arrival of the €57 million signing from Santos this summer.

Much has been said and written about since the 21-year-old's switch from Santos, the club he broke through at to become the darling of Brazilian football, with club icon Johan Cruyff as one of the most vocal critics of the transfer.

However, Alves has insisted that the hierarchy at the Blaugrana is clear, even from the days of Ronaldinho strutting his stuff in Catalunya, so the signing of this forward will not change anything.

"People are getting all worked up over the relationship between Messi and Neymar, but they're two great guys, so who's to say they are going to have any problems ..." Alves told RAC1.

"Messi has earned all the recognition and respect he gets and has become a role model with his work ethic. The kid has four Ballons d'Or.

"Before it was Ronaldinho who dictated the way Barca played, now it's Messi. You can't come to Barca and expect to be top dog – there is always already a star here."

Messi has scored well over 200 La Liga goals for the Catalans since his first team debut in 2004-05, becoming the club's all-time top goalscorer in official games.

ZIMBABWE ELECTION: Fair Or Farce

Zimbabwe's President Robert Mugabe has been declared the winner of the 31 July elections, with 61 percent of the vote and his Zanu-PF party gaining a two-thirds majority in parliament.

But there are reports that the opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) has claimed massive fraud and says it will go to court.

International opinion on the poll is sharply divided with Western countries generally condemning it, while most African leaders - except Botswana - have congratulated Mr Mugabe on his re-election.

Western observers were barred from the election. Monitors from the African Union (AU) and the Southern African Development Community (Sadc) praised the poll for being peaceful but still noted several irregularities. Zanu-PF has denied allegations of fraud.

AU mission head Olusegun Obasanjo said he had never seen a perfect election and that the discrepancies were not large enough to affect the result - Mr Mugabe gained 938,085 more votes than his rival Morgan Tsvangirai.

Liverpool Leaves Suarez Out Of Squad

Liverpool player Luis Suarez has been has been left out of the squad by head coach Brendan Rodgers for Wednessday's friendly meeting with Valerenga.

Liverpool revealed that the striker will remain in England to undergo a scan on a foot injury sustained in training, but that is unlikely to quell suggestions that his absence is linked to the ongoing uncertainty over his future.

Suarez was the subject of a bid reportedly worth one pound over £40million from Arsenal earlier in the transfer window, and he has made clear his desire to leave Anfield for a club in the UEFA Champions League.

Real Madrid are also tracking the striker, although the Premier League side have thus far held firm and continue to insist that Suarez will not be sold.

The club revealed on their website: “Luis Suarez will remain on Merseyside as a precaution following an injury in training yesterday. He will undergo a scan on his foot later today.”

Another player who has been strongly linked with a move away from Liverpool of late, Martin Skrtel, has also stayed behind after picking up what the club described as a “knock”.

The Slovakian fell out of favour during the 2012-13 campaign, and is reportedly close to reuniting with former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez by sealing a loan move to Napoli.

Fellow defenders Glen Johnson and Daniel Agger have also picked up slight injuries, and miss out on the trip to Norway as a result.

A 58 year old prophet identified as Elijah Johnson, has explained to an Alagbado Grade A Customary Court, Lagos, southwest Nigeria, how he allegedly caught his 47-year old Prophetess wife committing adultery with some of his male church members on different occasions.

The divorce seeking prophet and founder of Holy Timothy Church, Aboru, Iyana-Ipaja, Lagos, said his wife, Taiwo Johnson, is very hostile and always insulting the church members.

The couple lived together for 28 years and have seven children.

The petitioner said that they started living together in 1987 and he did not pay any dowry on her.

He said that when he married a second wife, Taiwo was always fighting her.

He complained that his wife does not care about him and even finds it difficult to cook for him, especially whenever he just returns from his missionary travels.

He stated further that he does not love her anymore and wants the court to grant him a divorce.

The respondent said that all his claims of hostility are false and it is not in her character to fight people.

Taiwo said that she loves her husband and that he means everything to her.

She stated that for the 28 years that they have been together, no other man has seen her “nakedness”.

She said does not want the court to dissolve her marriage and wants them to plead with her husband to consider the number of years that they have been together.

She wants her husband to consider their children and not dissolve the marriage.

The court President, Mr. M.O. Jolaoso, after listening to both parties, adjourned the suit till 19 August,  2013 and urged them to maintain absolute peace

Hong Kong Seizes Ivory Horns, Leopard Skins, Others In Container From Nigeria

Hong Kong customs seized an illegal shipment of ivory tusks, rhino horns and leopard skins worth more than $5 million, officials said Wednesday.

The haul — which included more than 1,000 elephant tusks — was the second seizure of endangered species parts in a month in the Asian financial hub, home to one of the busiest ports in the world.

Acting on a tip off from mainland authorities on Tuesday, customs officials discovered the illicit goods hidden in a cargo container at the city’s Kwai Chung terminal port.

The container was officially declared to contain “red cam process wood” exported from Nigeria.

“Among the wooden blocks, we found 21 wooden crates and inside these crates, we found 1,120 ivory tusks, 13 rhino horns and five leopard skins,” ports control head Vincent Wong told reporters.

The total weight of the goods was 2,266 kilogrammes (2.27 metric tonnes) with an estimated value of about HK$41 million ($5.29 million), Wong said, adding that the shipment had passed through Shanghai.

“I think Hong Kong is not the final destination. The items can be temporarily stored in Hong Kong and then when there is a buyer who can afford it, the smugglers can smuggle the goods to them,” Wong said at the press conference where the seized goods were displayed for reporters.

No arrests were made, but anyone found guilty of trading of endangered species for commercial purposes are liable to a maximum fine of HK$5 million and imprisonment for two years.

Last month, more than 1,000 ivory tusks, mainly from baby elephants, were seized by the city’s customs.

Ivory is popular with Chinese collectors who see it as a valuable investment and leopard skin is a popular material for fashion and decoration.

Products made from the endangered rhinocerous are popular in the Asian market, where their horns are believed to have medicinal properties — such as curing cancer — despite the fact that no scientific evidence exists to support such claims.

Hong Kong, a free port which runs one of the biggest container terminals in the world, often sees the seizure of products from banned trades.

Rapper Eva Alordiah Attacks Linda Ikeji

Popular celebrity blogger, Linda Ikeji posted  a story about rapper Eva Alordiah being a victim of child molestation.

According to Linda Ikeji, Eva admitted the quote below, on the Hot FM Abuja Breakfast Show with Tutu and Cheezy Charles.

“We are such a country that is so blessed by God. We don’t have earthquake, volcanoes, tsunami. We are problems to ourselves and this is disgusting. I come from a background where I was molested as a child. Definitely it’s a serious situation where you have to put a child through that type of trauma.”

It seems the female rapper was not so pleased with the post and she took to twitter to attack Linda, who replied in return.

APC Chief: The Days Of PDP Ruling Are Numbered

"The days of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in power are numbered," Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain Otunba Oladele Ajomale said.

According to him, the party will find it difficult in 2015 to win the votes of Nigerians because of its poor performance in the last 14 years.

Ajomale spoke in Lagos at the ceremony marking the lowering of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) flag and the hoisting of the APC flag by Governor Babatunde Fashola (SAN).

He also directed that the party should be inaugurated in the 57 councils in the state this week.

He said: “I thank the merger committee and the governors who backed them. They were the driving force behind the merger. Immediately we announced the APC, it was like an electric shock to the PDP, but it was joy to Nigerians.”

The new party held its first meeting, which was presided over by Ajomale, the chairman of the defunct ACN.

At the meeting, which took off shortly after the hoisting of the APC’s flag, were party elders, the ACN chairmen from the 57 local councils and 20 local government chairmen.

At the ceremony were the deputy governor, Hon. Joke Orelope-Adefulire, the former deputy governor, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, Chief Olorunfunmi Basorun, Pa Abiodun Adeseye, former Commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs. Kemi Nelson, Comrade Joe Igbokwe, Ademola Sodiq, Rev. Tunji Adebiyi, Comrade Ayo Adewale, Hon. Adekunle Israel, Hon. Shamusedeen Olaleye, Chief Funso Ologunde, Hon. Hakeen Oris, and Mrs. Toun Adediran.

Fashola described the party as “an alternative vehicle of expression of an aspiration for a better life”, urging the members to gird their loins for the future electoral battle.

The governor said: “This is more than a merger. It is history.” Fashola, who reflected on the merger struggles, thanked the APC leaders and members of the merger committee for their commitment and sacrifice.

Noting that they jettisoned personal interest, he said the merger drivers showed that “they were masters of their ego and not slaves of their ego”.

Looking into the future, the governor said APC leaders were still expected to make more sacrifices.

He added: “People sacrificed their positions. I salute their sense of sacrifice and there are still more sacrifices to make. I urge the people to learn from the sacrifices made. I hope that we are ready. It is not about individuals. it is about the nation. Individuals will go, but the nation will remain”.

Fashola praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for standing up for the rule of law, constitutionalism and history.

SNOWDEN ASYLUM: Obama Cancels Meeting With Putin

US President Barack Obama has cancelled a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin after Russia's decision to grant asylum to intelligence leaker Edward Snowden, the White House said.

But Mr Obama will still attend the G20 economic talks in St Petersburg.

A White House aide said Mr Snowden's asylum had deepened the pre-existing tension between the two counties.

The former intelligence contractor has admitted leaking information about US surveillance programmes to the media.

Arsene Wenger Concerned About Rooney's Future

Arsene Wenger believes it will be just as difficult for Arsenal next season if Wayne Rooney leaves Manchester United for Chelsea.

The Blues have made Rooney their primary transfer target this summer but saw an improved bid rejected by the Premier League champions on Sunday, which is understood to have been worth around £30 million.

And Wenger feels a potential departure for Rooney will have no impact on his team as Chelsea are already one of the strongest outfits in the division.

"With Rooney, [Chelsea] will be even more dangerous for sure," the Frenchman told Al Jazeera Sport.

"I rate Rooney highly and unfortunately we fight with Manchester United and Chelsea.

"So, on one front, if he goes then Manchester United will be weaker, that's quite good for us. But if he changes to Chelsea then they will be stronger - which is not good for us."

David Moyes has continually insisted that the 27-year-old will not be sold this summer despite the player's desire for a fresh start after nine years at the club.

And the new United manager does not think he will have to convince Rooney to stay, despite the continued interest from Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge.

Late Goldie’s stylist Prince Uzoegwu has filed a N100 million lawsuit against a blogger, kool yarns, for allegedly calling him gay.

According to Prince’s suit, Koolyarns must remove the posts about him being gay within the next 24 hours, make a public apology or be sued for N100m.

This is what the blogger, kool yarns wrote: "N100 million ko!...i laff in carribean...Fashion designer and stylist of Late singer, Goldie Harvey has filed a N100 million naira lawsuit against me for allegedly using homophobic slurs against him(according to how it was stated in the letter).

"They said i also insulted his taste of fashion and that i should delete the posts and issue an apology otherwise they will demand N100,000,000 from me...isn't that funny ,people? see, i did not call him gay...i called him a gay...they are 2 different words which are disputable in the court of law and i never insulted his taste of fashion. People More Scared Of U.S Drones Than Al Qaeda - Journalist

An American journalist and editor of the Yemen Post, Hakim Almasmari told about the situation on the ground.

"The Yemeni people are not afraid of al Qaeda, because al Qaeda will always fight and attack soldiers and troops and militants. They will never attack civilians. Whereas the drones at times will attack civilians -- like in the last 10 days, out of the 13 who were killed, three were civilians," Almasmari said.

"Yesterday all night you had drones flying all over Sana'a, and this was very worrying. People were at home sitting and afraid that this could go wrong like it went wrong earlier years ago when tens of civilians were killed in previous drone strikes," he continued.

The news of the drone strikes - which according to Yemeni security officials killed four al Qaeda operatives Tuesday - comes one week after Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi met with President Obama and U.S. senators to discuss therepatriation of Yemeni detainees from Guantanamo Bay.

Despite the recent talks between the two countries, there is little being communicated to Yemeni citizens regarding the reason for the attacks, according to Almasmari.

"So Yemenis right now are lost. Yes, they believe the U.S. government that this is a real threat, but at the same time they are asking for more evidence so that they can show the people that Yemen is not being occupied by a foreign country or that al Qaeda is a real threat," Almasmari continued.

While the U.S. government has facilitated the evacuation of its government personnel, it has not provided the same care for other American citizens, according to Almasmari whose family remains in Yemen.

"The actions of the U.S. Embassy makes us ... lose credibility [and question], 'Is this all serious? Why aren't all Americans treated the same if this is a threat?'" He continued, "This also gives less credibility to the entire story, because what value do some Americans have over others?"

Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, China -- A migrant worker in China kidnapped and repeatedly raped teenage woman over 11 days in a cellar he dug under his rented home. Chen Xiaolong, 36, faces kidnap and multiple rape charges after holding the 18-year-old captive in the cramped basement beneath his single-room house in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province. Chen confessed to imprisoning the woman and threatening to kill her. She managed to escape after cutting her ties with a nail file, according to local reports.

During 11 days of captivity, the woman was raped repeatedly, kept nude all the time and only allowed to leave the cellar twice, in order to take a bath in the room above. She managed to work at gradually cutting her chains using a secreted nail file and was finally able to break free and escape.

Chinese media reported the woman waited for Chen to leave before running for help. One neighbour told the Qianjiang Evening News. "She was crying, 'If you do not help me, this man will kill me tonight."'

Sierra Leone Appoint First Woman FA President

The newly-appointed FA president of Sierra Leone Isha Johansen has stated that her appointment signifies the dawn of a new era in football and has vowed to boost the women game.

Johansen, 48, ran unopposed in Saturday’s election for the presidency of the Sierra Leone Football Association after her rival candidates were all disqualified.

“I am looking forward to a more healthy and renewed football in Sierra Leone," she told reporters in Freetown after her appointment.

“People should expect a president who will encourage the development of football, bringing in more education, as there are so many young kids who want to play football but don’t want to go to school. We shall also see female football grow.”

Former Inter Milan and Monaco striker Mohamed Kallon was disqualified from the rae as he had not been a recent Sierra Leone resident, while Rodney Michael and Foday Turay were ruled out for links to gambling.

Johansen, who founded and runs the Sierra Leone Premier League side FC Johansen with her Norwegian husband Arne Birger Johansen, is appealing for unity within the FA.

“I have stretched forth my hand, an olive branch, and I have asked for peace and sanity to prevail, and have asked for calm and for all bickering and fighting to stop so that we can all work together," she said.

Johansen will be one of two female football chiefs in the global game, alongside Lydia Nsekera of Burundi.

TRAGEDY: Bomb Explodes, Kills Teenagers Playing Football

A bomb killed 11 people in a poor district of Pakistan’s financial hub of Karachi on Wednesday, mostly teenagers playing street football at a crowded market, officials said.

The sweltering port of 18 million people is largely inured to violence with a dozen bodies found around the city every day but the killing of so many youngsters shocked many residents.

“There was total chaos when the bomb went off. People were screaming and running for safety,’’ said resident Zafar Baluch.

It was unclear who was behind the blast in the Lyari district, a stronghold of the main opposition Pakistan People’s Party.

Karachi is home to many militant groups, including the Taliban. Many political parties there have armed wings to fight turf wars.

The attack appeared to be aimed at a provincial minister, Javed Nagori, who had come to hand out prizes at the football match, said provincial information minister Sharjeel Memon.

The children had been playing while their parents shopped for the upcoming Muslim holiday of Eid.

In the run-up to Eid, many markets open all night since residents are fasting during the day.

“There was smoke everywhere and people were covered in glass,’’ said Sheree, who didn’t want to give her last name.

She was near Nagori’s convoy when the blast knocked her off her feet. She saw the bodies of three children, she said. In the capital of Islamabad, security forces have been put on high alert until the holiday is over.

MY STORY: "My Mother Slept With My Fiance"

I am 25 years of age and still live with my parents at home. I won’t describe my parents’ marriage as ideal as my father is forever accusing my mother of having extra marital affairs.

Sincerely, he isn’t off the target as my mother specialises in dating younger men.

Severally my father has had to send some young men away from our premises, who come asking to be employed as drivers. Since I spent the better part of my life away from home: entered into boarding school from JSS 1, beyond what I experience during the holidays and the complaints of my younger ones, I can’t say categorically that I know my mother very well.

All I know is that she is very fashionable and beautiful as well as a socialite. Unlike my father who is more into his children and home, my mother doesn’t care much about us.

We have all come to accept her for whom she is and the times I am at home or when my father comes to visit me in school. I always tell him not to bother too much about my mother. I often tell him that after 26 years as a couple he should be used to her ways by now.

It is an open secret that my father is the one keeping the marriage; my mother doesn’t care one bit about it. As a child, can’t recall when she went to the kitchen to cook, I don’t even know what the taste of her food is like. She is that bad.

Although I have always known my mother’s weakness for young virile men, not once did it occur to me that my mother is capable of sleeping with my own boyfriend.

About three months ago, I brought my fiancé home to meet my parents. He finished before me and travelled to England to further his studies. He came back about four months ago to ask for my hand in marriage. Since his parents were familiar with me, I brought him home to inform my parents of our intentions to spend the rest of our lives together. My father has also met him while he was still in school.

My mother was at home on the day he came. We all agreed on the day his parents would come to meet mine. Three weeks after, they came for formal introduction and to agree on a date for the introduction and wedding.

It was during the period of our wedding planning that I ran into my mother and fiancé coming out of a hotel close to the house of the caterer I contracted for the wedding.

While I was still trying to fathom what both of them could be doing in that place, my mother oblivious of who might be looking gave him a quick peck on his lips before zooming off in her car.

I didn’t need to be told what they had gone to do in the hotel. My boyfriend didn’t know what to say when I called out his name. Right there and then he confessed and started begging for my forgiveness. He claimed not to know how it all happened; that all he remembers is my mother inviting him over for discussions concerning the wedding plans.

I am pained and so confused. Our wedding is on December 18. I want to end it all. There is no way I can go ahead with a wedding to the man who has slept with my mother. The worst thing is my mother’s attitude. Even when I confronted her with what she had done, her attitude was ‘so what!’

My boyfriend and his best man have been pleading with me. My chief bridesmaid who has been my friend since our childhood is of the opinion that my mother must have charmed my boyfriend and that the best way to deal with her is to forgive my boyfriend and go ahead with the marriage.

I am so confused. I haven’t told my father anything since I don’t want to hurt him more than she has hurt him all these years. Please tell me what to do. He is the only man I have ever fallen in love with in all my life. We have been together for five years and not once has he cheated on me. Sylvester Stallone Calls Bruce Willis 'Greedy And Lazy'

Actor Sylvester Stallone expressed his not-so-pleasant attitude to another Hollywood actor Bruce Willis, in his recent tweet Stallone calls him "greedy and lazy".

Stallone's representatives confirmed to HuffPost Entertainment that the tweet was made in reference to Willis, but did not wish to comment further.

Stallone slammed the "Die Hard" star in a tweet shortly after announcement that Harrison Ford's had joined the cast of the "The Expendables 3" at the expense of Bruce Willis.

Willis appeared in the first two "Expendables" films, opposite Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Terry Crews and many other burly action stars from yesteryear. 

Production on "The Expendables 3" is set to begin this month. Jackie Chan, Wesley Snipes and Milla Jovovich are expected to join the cast, possibly alongside Mel Gibson. Look for "Expendables 3" to arrive in theaters next year.

WICKEDNESS: Jealous Boyfriend Burns His Girlfriend & Her Friend To Death

Two female corps members serving in Community Secondary school Iddo in Asari-Toru LGA of Rivers State were severely burnt beyond recognition by the one of the victim’s boyfriend who attacked them in their room.

One of the victims, named Amarachi Okey Winifred, is a batch C corps member while the other whose name could not be ascertained as at time of this report is a fresh batch B corps member who just left camp and reported at the PPA few weeks ago.

At first, the attackers were thought to be some PPA (Place of Primary Assignment) community boys and students from Winnie’s PPA, but the story turned out differently.

It turned out that Winnie was burned by her boyfriend because he felt she was cheating on him with a fellow corps member. A corper who stayed in the same hostel with Winnie in camp related the events.

“He thought she would be the only one in the room, he locked the door from outside, put petrol and lit the fire. Unfortunately, a friend of Winnie was also in the room. She’s a batch B corps member who just left camp some weeks ago. Unfortunately for the boyfriend, he burnt his hands in the process. That was how the dude was identified and caught.

“In camp she was always scared whenever he called and she missed it and all. Didn’t know d fool was like this. Four years relationship fah… Because for hostel that time, everybody go dey wonder why she dey fear am,” the corper said.

After the incident, the victims were both taken to the Intensive care unit (ICU) of UNIPORT Teaching Hospital due to the critical nature of the burns. The victims did not survive the burns. Winifred died on the morning of July 31. The perpetrator however, has since been caught by the Nigeria Police.

Sokoto Government Pardons 9 Prison Inmates, Dethroned Monarch

The Sokoto State Government on Wednesday unconditionally pardoned nine inmates of the Sokoto Central Prison and a dethroned monarch.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the inmates were released at a ceremony presided over by the Commissioner for Justice, Alhaji Nuhu Adamu, on behalf of Gov. Aliyu Wamakko.

Adamu said that the gesture was in line with the powers conferred on Wamakko by Section 212 of the 1999 Constitution as amended.

He said that seven out of the freed inmates were convicted, while two others were on awaiting trial list. Similarly, four of the freed convicted inmates were females, three of whom each had a child aged between one and two years.

Adamu also announced the donation of N30, 000 to each of the seven released convicted inmates, courtesy of the state government.

The gesture is part of the efforts of the state government to further decongest the prison. It is has always been done during ceremonies like Sallah and Nigeria’s independence anniversary.

This is a Holy Month of Ramadan and the state government has decided to extend the same gesture to commemorate the Eid-el-Fitri (Sallah),’’ he said.

Adamu said that the 10th beneficiary of the gesture was Alhaji Suleiman Kurdulla, the former Village Head of Kurdulla in Gudu Local Government Area of the state.

He explained that: ``he was dethroned by the state government in 2005 and he petitioned the present administration, which had a second look at his case.

The state committee on the prerogative of mercy recommended his unconditional pardon after concluding that his petition had merits and Wamakko approved of it,’’ he said.

The Controller of Prisons, Hajiya Hawwa’u Shettima, commended the state government for donating two 18-seater buses to the prison.

We have to also commend the state government for establishing a Ramadan feeding centre at the prison during the outgoing Ramadan fast.

This laudable gesture will go a long way to further decongest the prison. As at now, over 70 per cent of the inmates in the prison are awaiting trial,’’ Shettima said.

Shettima also cautioned the pardoned inmates to shun all acts capable of bringing them back to the prison.

A spokesman of the released inmates, Habibu Usman, commended the state government for the gesture and promised to be of good behaviour.

A gay teen who was kidnapped, humiliated and tortured in Russia has reportedly died. The boy, not named, was a victim of the infamous fascist leader Maxim Matsinkevich, known as the 'Cleaver'.

It is unknown whether the boy died from his injuries or committed suicide.

One picture shows the humiliated young teen in his underwear appearing to hold a sex toy as his captors grin for the camera. He is also covered in paint as a baseball bat looms in the background.

No arrests have been made and no charges were pressed.

It has been revealed that Matsinkevich's group was using the Russian version of Facebook, V Kontakte, to lure unsuspecting victims through personal ads.

Once a teen shows up for a 'date', they are captured and bullied and often tortured while being recorded on video.

Video recordings of bulling and torture are freely distributed on the internet in order to out LGBT teens to their respective schools, parents and friends. Many of these shocking videos are uploaded to YouTube in order to further humiliate their victims.

In one such video, a gay teen with disabilities is interrogated, choked, and beaten.

Many victims were driven to suicides, the rest deeply traumatised.

The group claims they are simply trying to identify and report pedophiles.

When approached by authorities, V Kontakte shut down several of the groups and profiles but did not stop them from starting new ones the following day.

The disturbing stories come as President Vladimir Putin signed the 'non-traditional relationships propaganda' bill into law last month, effectively stopping any person from speaking out for gay rights in Russia.

Martinez Hails Hardworking Anichebe

Everton boss Roberto Martinez has saluted the pre-season form of Nigeria international striker Victor Anichebe as “fantastic”.

“As a squad of players, you always look to have as many dimensions as you can. We had Victor Anichebe playing against Juventus and he did a fantastic job. Arouna Kone played well against Blackburn and Nikica Jelavic exactly the same,” he told the club’s official website.

Anichebe has so far shunned African champions Nigeria, insisting he wishes to focus on his club career.

Nurse Rents Her Breasts Online To Feed Gay Parents' Babies

A French nurse has created an online advert offering to rent out her breasts to feed newborn babies.

And the 29-year-old woman, who describes herself as “a young mother in good health”, is targeting gay men in particular.

“Gay men in couples are not able to breastfeed their babies. Breastfeeding allows babies to be in good health. Basically, breast milk gives them complete nutrition,” Cecilia232 writes.

The move is timed well, being that gay men are now able to adopt children after France’s gay marriage bill was voted in.

The ad, which is still live, says the woman is based in the Paris region and sets her rates as $26 for one hour, $133 for a day and $666 for a week.

Block bookings for Ceceilia232’s breasts can be made using a drop-down menu on the site and she says she can offer up to a dozen feeds to hungry babies.

She adds: “Contact me through the site. Don’t bother if you’re not serious.”

The site moderators have confirmed the advert is genuine, but the ad could fall foul of France’s public health code.

Article L2323-1 of the law reads “The collection, preparation and distribution of breast milk is covered by milk banks managed by public health establishments, public authorities or non-profit organizations…” and appears to expressly forbid what she is offering.

Rivers State Lawmaker, Chidi Lloyd Granted N10m Bail

Chidi Lloyd, the embattled leader of the Rivers House of Assembly, was granted bail by Justice Latan Nyordee of a Federal High Court, Port Harcourt, this morning with the sum of N10 million and three sureties who must have landed properties in the state capital.

He was ordered to deposit his international passport before the court.

At the time of this report, Lloyd and his legal team were processing his bail papers.

However, there were fears that the embattled lawmaker may be re-arrested by officials of Economical Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, who have been interrogating him on the financial management of the Rivers Assembly.

Meanwhile, there have been mixed reactions to the bail. The Deputy Speaker of the House, Leyii Kwanee, commended the courage of the Judge for doing what is right in the eyes of the law, especially when a suspect is deemed innocent until proven guilty and Lloyd had been denied medical attention since incarceration on 26 July to date.

However, Jerry Needam, the Media Special Adviser to Felix Obuah, a factional leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Rivers State, condemned the bail granted the lawmaker.

“This is a shame. We are not surprised that he has been granted bail. We alerted Rivers people that immediately the state Attorney General took over the case yesterday that Chidi Lloyd would be granted bail. I hear some people are happy. What are they happy about?”

On what his party would do, he said that the matter would not be left lying low until justice is seen to be done.

“We are talking about a case of somebody we attempted to kill his fellow colleague and that person is lying critically ill in the hospital.”

At the time of the report, Lloyd was being escorted to Port Harcourt prisons to finalise his bail papers.
