South
African Hip Hop sensation AKA is set to heat up Big Brother stage
during Sunday night’s eviction show live on AfricaMagic Entertainment
and DStv channels 197 &198 from 20:00 CAT.
The
multiple award winner will bring his dynamic persona to the live show
as Africa’s votes determine which housemates will be evicted this week.
With
his hit single ‘Kontrol’ currently dominating South African radio
charts and club single ‘Jealousy’ charting across the continent, AKA is a
fixture on the international Hip Hop scene. In 2013 alone, he’s opened
for NEYO and Kanye West and performed alongside D’Banj and Kid Cudi.
Previously
known as part of Hip Hop group Entity, AKA’s career has gone
stratospheric since he set out on his own. 2011 Hit track ‘Victory Lap’
propelled him into the continent’s consciousness, while ‘Jealousy’
cemented his place in the African hip hop firmament and his latest album
has only gone on to build his loyal following.
He’s performed in San Francisco, California, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Jamaica and New York in the past few months – outside of a host of continental African engagements.
As
if performing on the world’s biggest stages weren’t enough, AKA also
dabbles in voice over recordings, event MC, music production and is
affiliated with the widely-acclaimed SA music production group, IV
League.
Watch
AKA dominate the Big Brother stage this Sunday – and don’t forget to
vote to keep your favourite housemate in The Chase! The housemates in
danger of eviction are Natasha, Bolt, Pokello, Annabel, Dillish, Hakeem
and Maria.
Voting
is open now and closes at 06:00 CAT on Sunday morning. Big Brother: The
Chase is headline sponsored by Airtel and produced by Endemol.
