Militant Group, 17 Others Wanted Over Killing Of 11 Cops

photoThe Bayelsa State Police Command has declared wanted leader of the renegade militant group, by the name, Virus and 17 others involved in the April gruesome killing of 11 policemen along the waterways of Lobia community in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of the state.
The police command, according to a statement, yesterday, by its spokesman, Mr. Alex Akhigbe, said those wanted were found culpable in the killing of the policemen.

Among those declared wanted are Lucky Bakumo, Egedin Godday Sunday, Emeka Samuel, Idowu Matthew, Odobogheonuru Famous and Odenyen Zinikiware.

They are all identified as beneficiaries of the ongoing amnesty programme of the Federal Government.

It was learnt that the indictment of the alleged killers of the policemen came with the arrest of one of the suspects identified as Jackson Feutubobai.

The suspect told newsmen, while being paraded at the state police headquarters, that the suspects declared wanted were directly involved in the killing and burning of the policemen.
