ENGLISH football fans dreaming of seeing Lionel Messi star in the Premier League have had their hopes dashed.
The Argentine magician, 25, has won four consecutive Ballon d'Or awards and is considered by many to be the greatest player to have graced the planet.
But the Barcelona ace, who joined the Catalan giants aged 13, has no intentions of leaving Spain.
Messi, speaking yesterday at a press conference in Qatar, said: "I've never thought about playing anywhere else."
The tricky frontman has scored 56 goals in 47 games this season to help Barca win their 22nd La Liga title
