MANCHESTER UNITED target Cesc Fabregas will only
play for Arsenal if he ever decides to quit Barcelona – who believe
United’s £40million bid for the midfielder is in response to their
interest in Wayne Rooney.
Fabregas, 26, was just 14 when he was poached from Barca by Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger and the pair forged a strong bond.
Wenger
only allowed him to return home for £30m in 2011 because of a promise
he made – but a contract clause gives the Gunners first option if he
ever decides to leave.
Like Thierry Henry, Fabregas has always said he would never play for any other English club.
