Oyo State To Pay N1.2bn Compensation On Roads

The state Commissioner for Lands and Housing, Mr. Bimbo Kolade, said this in a statement made available to reporters on Sunday.
The statement said N1, 214,737,340.46 would be paid to 1,304 people whose properties were affected by the dualisation of six major roads in the state.
The roads, according to the commissioner,  are the Efunsetan-Toll Gate Phase I; Efunsetan-Podo Roundabout-Toll Gate Phase II in Ibadan; Dugbe-Magazine-Eleiyele with spur to Aleshinloye-Onireke-Agbarigo Road in Ibadan;  and Ibadan-Oyo-Iseyin junction-Iseyin-Okeho junction, Iseyin.
Others are the Ilorin Expressway-Ikoyi junction-Takie-Palace-Ogbomoso Grammar School; and Ibadan-Oyo Expressway-Iseyin-Oyo junction Owode-Akesan-Palace Road.
He said, “Twenty-six people would receive sum of N41,520,165 at Efunsetan-Toll Gate Phase I and 108 people at Efunsetan-Podo Roundabout-Toll Gate Phase II will collect N133,232,522.”
