Ajax confirm bid for Liverpool and Everton target Toby Alderweireld


AJAX have revealed an offer has been received from an unnamed club for Liverpool and Everton target Toby Alderweireld.



The defender is attracting huge interest from the Premier League
The Belgian international is another product of the famous Ajax youth academy and was one of their most consistent performers last season.
Everton and Liverpool have been keeping tabs on the 24-year-old and former Arsenal midfielder Marc Overmars, currently the Eredivisie champions' director of football, confirmed the bid.
"We have received an offer," he told the De Telegraaf.

Overmars added: "We won't give any names as we are still in talks.
"But, just like with Norwich City earlier, I expect we can work out a deal with this club."
Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas is also interested in the defender and is monitoring how the situation develops.
Alderweireld made 45 appearances last season scoring four times as he and Ajax secured their third successive league title.
