A TEENAGE paedophile who raped an 11-year-old
girl as police tried to get a court order to keep him from kids was
jailed for life with a minimum eight years yesterday.
Opemipo Jaji, 18, who was obsessed with little girls, dragged his terrified victim into a park.
He threatened to stab her during an horrific three- hour ordeal, warning: “I’m this close to killing you.”
Jaji followed the girl from school in Enfield, north London, just 90 minutes after seeing his probation officer.
He had sexually assaulted a 12-year-old in almost identical circumstances two years earlier.
Weeks after his release from a 10-month sentence Jaji was caught with a stash of child porn.
Police wanted to hit him with a Sexual Offences Prevention Order to keep him away from children.
But he struck again before it could be put in place.
Before
his latest attack he hoarded books and articles about child abuse,
including a cutting about the sex murder of April Jones, five, in Wales.
Jailing him at the Old Bailey, Mr Justice Singh condemned his “unhealthy interest in young girls”.
