Roman Abramovich is a Russian multi-billionaire who just can’t seem to have
enough of toys for the big boys. Known for sending out sushi takeaways across the
continent on a jet plane, he is also the owner of the Chelsea Football Club in the English

private yacht in the world. Built by Blohm + Voss, it measures an astounding 163.5
meters long.

9. Saddam Hussein, Al Mansur

9
Saddam Hussein will definitely go down as one of history’s worst villains. The irony
of it all is that he was not always perceived to be that way. Back when Iran was the
chief enemy of the Western world, Hussein was acclaimed as a hero for initiating a
conflict with its neighbor in one of the most bitter and destructive wars since World
War II. The royal family of Saudi Arabia even gave him a yacht as a token of their
gratitude. Called the Al Mansur, the yacht was 85 meters long. It also had a secret
passage that led to an escape pod going to a mini-submarine. Too bad the yacht
was destroyed and sank after it was hit 16 times by air strikes from the United
States-led coalition.

and it measures 65 meters long. It looks distinguished in its fine black finish. Aside
from parties, the yacht also hosts photo shoots for various high fashion magazines.

6. Roberto Cavalli, Baglietto

6
Roberto Cavalli is an Italian fashion designer from the city of Florence. He is known
for his designs that feature exotic prints. The sand blasted look of jeans that we have
these days originally came from a design made by Cavalli. This unique pattern and
look are also applied to his yacht christened as the Baglietto. Built by Codecasa and
measuring 41 meters long, the yacht has a distinctive color combining gold, green
and iridescent purple. One can spot his yacht from a mile away.

5. Bono, Cyan

5

his philanthropic work, Bono and his band have survived the test of time, having
produced numerous hits for over 30 years now. They have succeeded in both
maintaining their rock tradition and reinventing themselves constantly to stay
relevant to the young market. And Bono has rewarded himself for all his hard work
with his very own yacht. He calls the Codecasa-built yacht the Cyan. It measures 49
meters long.

4. Tiger Woods, Privacy

Tiger Woods is one of the best golfers of all time. He has won 14 major titles,
winning at least three times each in the US Open, Masters, US PGA and the British

He has recently been in a drought when it comes to major tournaments as he
struggles to build up his life after the messy divorce with his wife brought about by
his infidelity. He is now dating alpine ski racer Lindsey Vonn, though they prefer to
keep things private. Woods also has a yacht that he has named Privacy. It measures
47 meters long and it was built by the renowned yacht maker called Christensen.

3. Johnny Depp, Vajoliroja

Johnny Depp is one of the most talented actors around. His iconic take on the
character of Captain Jack Sparrow in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series will
forever be gauged as the standard of all pirate roles. The months spent on the water
while shooting the movie trilogy may have enhanced Depp’s love for the sea, so
much so that he now has his own yacht. The yacht was built by Proteksan Turquoise
in Turkey and is considered to be a modern classic superyacht. It measures 47
meters long. The name of Vajoliroja is a combination of the names in Depp’s family.
“Va” is his girlfriend Vanessa Paradis, “jo” is for the actor, “liro” is for his daughter Lily
Rose and “ja” is for his son Jack.
