Mrs Aregbesola Donates Empowerment Materials To Widows

Mrs Sherifat Aregbesola, wife of the Governor of Osun State, the President of the Sheri Care Foundation (SCARF) has challenged corporate and non-governmental organizations to come up with programmes that will support needy widows to ease the burden and distress they are saddled with.
Mrs Aregbesola made the appeal in Osogbo, the state capital where she made several donations of empowerment materials to about 67 critically needy widows to enhance their income generation.
These widows drawn from across the state are to benefit from the gesture of the Sheri Care Foundation (SCARF) to help lighten the burden of having to take care of the family alone.
She described as devastating having to shoulder the entire responsibility of a home at the loss of the spouse.
Mrs Aregbesola appealed to the privileged in the society to see the care of widows as a collective responsibility.
Some out of the 67 beneficiaries of the empowerment programme say the selection was devoid of political affiliation as they expressed their appreciation to Mrs. Aregbesola.
The Sheri Care Foundation (SCARF) was Incorporated in 2012 with the aim to care for the less privileged with particular emphasis on the widows, elderly, sick and Indigent students.
