The 21-year-old has been drawing a lot of interest from Serie A clubs, including Lazio and Bologna.
And the Hoops are now ready to join the race, on the basis they qualify for the Champions League group stage.
Gianlucadimarzio claims the centre-back could make a move to the SPL, after suffering relegation from the Italian top-flight with Pescara.
They will face stiff competition from Bologna however, who are desperate to reinforce their backline before the start of the new term.

“Marco Capuano is a target for Celtic this summer”
Celtic are also looking to bring in a replacement for star striker Gary Hooper, who left for Norwich this summer.
Kevin Doyle is their main target and have already put forward a deal worth £500,000 which was dismissed by the League one side.

But Wolves are keen to remove Doyle from the wage-bill but are determined to hold out for the right price.
And new boss Kenny Jackett reiterated the club's desire move the star on this week, telling the press: "In terms of Kevin, his wages are too high for League One.
"That's common knowledge and between now and the end of the window there will be interest in him."
