LUIS SUAREZ was back smiling for Uruguay today, hours after confirming he'd stay at Liverpool.

Suarez told reporters before the game that he wouldn't be leaving at Liverpool.

And reports emerging from South America now suggest he could sign a new deal with the club.

On the pitch, Suarez netted the third goal for his country in a 4-2 friendly win over Japan.

Ex-Manchester United striker Diego Forlan scored twice while current star Shinji Kagawa was on the mark for Japan.

Suarez set up two more in his 90-minute stay on the pitch.
