ANDY CARROLL'S £15million move to West Ham was great business by Liverpool, despite the club taking a £20m hit.

That is the view of former Reds player Gary Gillespie who has also urged his old club to hold on to keeper Pepe Reina, with Barcelona set to make a move.
England man Carroll, 24, spent two-and-a-half years at Liverpool after ex-boss Kenny Dalglish paid Newcastle £35m for him.
But the Geordie striker struggled and was loaned to West Ham last season, with the deal being made permanent last week.
Gillespie said: “I think the fans wish Andy Carroll well but I don’t think there will be too many fans disgruntled that he’s actually gone.
“Andy obviously didn’t fit the bill and I think, to be honest, the move is good for both parties.
“It’s good for Liverpool and it’s good for West Ham.”
Gillespie also believes Liverpool should hang on to Reina, even though they are close to signing Sunderland keeper Simon Mignolet.
He said: “If Pepe was to go I think it would be a sad loss. He has been fantastic for Liverpool.”
