SPURS are confident they have clinched a £17million deal for highly-rated Brazilian midfielder Paulinho.

They hope to seal the move with his club Corinthians as soon as the player leaves the Confederations Cup.
Spurs declined to confirm the deal but a club source said: “It’s possible, not definite.”
But Corinthians director of football, ex-Arsenal star Edu, said there have been developments and a move to London is now looking very likely.
He said: “It is well under way. We have to agree on some details of the negotiation, so I can’t say he will leave just yet but negotiations are good.”
The star, 24, made his Brazil debut in 2011 and recently scored against England at the Maracana.
Talks are ongoing over a deal to land David Villa, 31, from Barcelona too.
The Spain striker is also in Brazil on international duty.
