TOTTENHAM boss Andre Villas-Boas is eyeing Barcelona midfield star Ibrahim Afellay.

The Dutch ace, capped 44 times by his country, was loaned to Schalke last season and scored in a Champions League tie against Spurs' London rivals Arsenal.
Injury forced him out of the final part of the season but he is fit again and surplus to requirements at Barca.

Villas-Boas wants more midfield options next season and Afellay has the ability to play wide, or just behind the front man, like his compatriot Rafael van der Vaart once did at White Hart Lane.
Barcelona have been reluctant to sell previously but the arrival of Brazilian Neymar means they will listen to any offers over £8million.
