Wayne Rooney, Manchester UnitedWayne Rooney: Where will he end up?
The Blues made a £20m offer for Rooney last week, which was immediately turned down by Manchester United.
Rooney has confessed to being "angry and confused" with life at Old Trafford but boss David Moyes insists he's not for sale.
Those close to Rooney claim he feels he is getting "mixed messages" from the club and Chelsea are poised to move again with an increased bid.

But Starsport understands there is NO possibility of Rooney requesting to leave the club as he did back in 2010.
The 27-year-old England striker is on a £250k-a-week deal at Old Trafford, which expires in 2016.
Chief executive Ed Woodward has said he won't discuss a new deal with Rooney this summer and the player remains mystified as to why United have shown no inclination to extend his stay.
Rooney is currently recovering from a hamstring injury that forced him to leave United's pre-season tour.
