“The visitors started with their strongest available side and Ronaldo’s bullet free-kick was worth the admission fee alone”
Ronaldo was the main attraction in the star-studded squad Carlo Ancelotti picked to face the Championship new boys last night.
And the former Manchester United man lit up the Goldsands Stadium with a first-half double in his 45-minute run out.
Some of the 11,722 fans paid £60 for a ticket and the nine-time European champions provided plenty of value for money in their 6-0 victory.
The visitors started with their strongest available side and Ronaldo’s bullet free-kick was worth the admission fee alone.
The Portuguese star bagged a second before Sami Khedira, Arsenal target Gonzalo Higuain, Angel Di Maria and Casemiro completed the rout.
