CRISTIANO RONALDO is weighing up a move to Monaco which would see him handed a huge salary of £17m a year.

According to sources in Spain, the Real Madrid star is "carefully evaluating the offer that has been put on the table by Monaco".
Rich Monaco have already spent £110m on Radamel Falcao, Joao Moutinho and James Rodriguez - but the signing of Ronaldo would be one of the biggest in football history.
Monaco are ready to table an £85m bid to Real for the Portugese star, £5m more than they paid Manchester United to sign him back in 2009.
Ronaldo, 28, is out of contract in 2015 and the incredible wages that he's being offered by Monaco eclipse anything that Madrid could match.
It would make him one of the highest-paid players in the world alongside Cameroonian Samuel Eto'o.
Eto'o, 32, is on a deal worth £19.9m-a-year for Russian side Anzhi Makahchkala.
Monaco, who are managed by Claudio Rainieri, were promoted into Ligue 1 last season and want to immediately challenge Paris Saint-Germain for the title.
