ARSENAL have enquired about the possibility of signing Lorenzo Melgarejo - ANOTHER left-back.

The Gunners already have Kieran Gibbs and Nacho Monreal tied down on long-term deals, while they have so far been unable to bolster their frontline.
Moves for Gonzalo Higuain and Stevan Jovetic both haven't materialised but it hasn't stopped Arsene Wenger looking at other areas of his squad.
Paraguayan Melgarejo, 22, helped Benfica reach the Europa League final this season and is valued at around £5m.

Turkish giants Fenerbahce are also interested in signing him.
Melgarejo's agent told Paraguayan radio station Radio Monumental: "Arsenal and Fenerbahce have enquired about Melgarejo - but so far there has been nothing concrete."
