Roy Hodgson to coach England Under-21s

ROY HODGSON will boss England Under-21s this month after the FA failed to appoint a successor to Stuart Pearce.

He will then lead the senior team against the Scots at Wembley the following night.
The FA are still trying to replace Pearce, axed after the European Championship flop in Israel.

They are adamant a new man will be in place by September for the first qualifier of the 2015 Under-21 Euros.
Hodgson insists it will be good for him to look at the best youngsters.
He said: “As a coach, nothing can beat the training field and the team hotel for getting to know players properly.”
