CHELSEA AND MANCHESTER CITY BID FOR MARQUINHOS HITS THE BUFFERS

ABOVE: Roma haven't let Marquinhos talk to interested parties

BRAZILIAN teen sensation Marquinhos looks set to stay at Roma despite interest from Chelsea and Manchester City.

The 19-year-old Roma centre-half has only been in Italy a year since leaving Corinthians but has attracted rave reviews for his assured performances.
The world's big boys including Barcelona and Paris St-Germain were looking at him, while Manuel Pellegrini was also weighing up a move.
But Marquinhos' representative Giuliano Bertolucci says he's going nowhere.
He told Sky Sport Italia: "It's a natural thing that there is a lot of interest in him, but at the moment no official offers have arrived.
"Roma have not allowed us to talk to anyone.
"The player has a contract for four seasons with Roma and he will surely stay.
"I can confirm I was in Barcelona, but it happened a long time ago and Marquinhos is not my only client."
