REAL MADRID READY TO BATTLE ARSENAL FOR SEVILLA ACE

ABOVE: Seville ace Geoffrey Kondogbia

ARSENAL will have to battle Real Madrid for the signature of Geoffrey Kondogbia.

The La Liga giants look to have secured Real Sociedad star Asier Illarramendi after having issues over the player's personal terms.
But if the deal does in fact collapse due to niggling contract issues, Madrid will move in to secure the talented 20-year-old.
According to Spanish paper Marca, the Spanish giants have already started personal negotiations with the Under-20s starlet and could be snapped up whenever needed.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is busy this transfer window hunting for an accomplished defensive midfielder, with the club unable to fill that space in the squad currently.
Reports emerged earlier this week that Kondogbia could be London bound if a deal could be struck for the former Lens man.
Sevilla are in the middle of a fierce battle to try to retain the services of their best players after they failed to qualify for Europe.
