CHRISTIAN BENTEKE WOULD TURN DOWN CHELSEA TO JOIN SPURS

CHRISTIAN BENTEKE would snub a move to Chelsea in order to join Tottenham.

Chelsea could be poised to offer Aston Villa Demba Ba plus cash to try and lure 22-year-old Benteke to Stamford Bridge.
Villa boss Paul Lambert wants the Senegalese international if he does lose Benteke, who is valued at around £25m.
But the giant Belgian international may put a stop to that because they are not his club of choice.
He knows he could spend a long time on the bench there and he wants regular first-team football in a bid to lead the attack for Belgium at next year's World Cup.
Benteke is more hopeful of getting that at Spurs but the arrival of £17m Paulinho could stop the deal going through.
Lambert yesterday told Benteke he had a week to get his head right and decide his future lies.
