NORWICH look to have beaten Liverpool to the signing of Ajax star Toby Alderweireld.

According to Belgian newspaper nieuwsblad, the Canaries have pipped the Reds to the 24-year-old's signature, having agreed a deal with the Dutch outfit.
It is now believed Norwich will have to around pay £7m for the versatile defender.
Liverpool were thought to be close to bringing the exciting Belgian to Anfield and could still be in with a chance after he revealed he wasn't keen on moving to a mid-level Premier League side.
He said: "I do not want to play in an English club to mid-table.
Norwich have been busy this summer, having already recruited Ricky van Wolfswinkel, Javier Garrido, Nathan Redmond, Martin Olsson and Carlo Nash.
Other clubs thought to be keeping tabs on the young star is Manchester United, Everton and Newcastle, who are all looking to strengthen their backlines.
