ANGRY Italy coach Cesare Prandelli has stuck up for Mario Balotelli - ordering the press: "Leave him alone!"

Balotelli's babysitter, oops, we mean national team boss, made the call at a press conference ahead of tonight's friendly with San Marino.

The AC Milan striker, 22, has been accused of drug dealing by a confessed member of the Neopolitan Camorra crime group.

Prandelli told Italian state TV: "It's intolerable to keep coming after him and dragging him into every situation.

"Leave Mario Balotelli alone!"

The accusation came during testimony in a money-laundering trial in which Balotelli also testified in 2011 about his visit to the crime-infested Scampia neighbourhood a year earlier.

Balotelli maintains he was just curious about the neighborhood after seeing it in a film.

Prandelli said: "I can't even imagine him dealing drugs as a joke."

Why always you, Mario?
